Thank you so much, Zorana. How wonderful that you are reading from Bosnia! Isn't the online world the most marvellous thing for connecting us all. I learn so much about what our own history might have been by exploring the ways of Eastern Europe. I am ever grateful for those old ways being kept alive. Hello from the south coast of England x
Thank you again Bee for connecting the 'wolf saints' and making them present and relevant on this wonderful Advent journey. Thank you for filling our basket with 'wild winter stars' 💜🙏
"His copy of the Passio was so old, it sighed every time he turned a page". What a glorious description. Thank You for another fascinating article, filled with so much history and knowledge
Oh you reminded me of ‘a basket of wild winter stars!’ When I made a twig star every day from St.Lucys day til (can’t remember haha!) except here they were a basket of summer stars 😉 today my herb was Angelica Archangelica
I remember that! It was such a beautiful practice. I loved it. And I made paper stars in the same way with the inspiration you offered! Angelica is lovely.
"If we were weaving the withies of a basket to hold our winter dreaming in we would see from the darkling windows of our Marsh Church of the Shepherd and the Shrew that they begin and end in the wild flight of geese and swans, the flame of the forge, and the paw prints of wolves, and that the basket is full of wild winter stars." very much what I needed to hear <3 (as is much of this year's journey) Thank you
This is wonderful and so interesting, thank you so much for including Eastern Europe, and hello from Bosnia

Walking in step with Anne Avery and Oldeuropeanculture is a journey among the stars and the seasons. Lovely.
Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us...I’m so thoroughly enraptured by it all.
Thank you so much for reading, Melanie. I am so pleased. We all need to be enraptured much more than we are! x
